John 3:16 And My Mormon Religion
I am someone who practices her religion regularly. I go to church every Sunday and volunteer my time along with my talents to ensure our church is able to edify everyone who attends. I am a Mormon or a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
The scripture John 3:16 states "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" is an important scripture in my religion and we reference it often. I believe this to be true. I know that our Heavenly Father sent his only son to die for us so that we too may be resurrected one day. My religion is often confusing to those unfamiliar with it and I used to hear odd references about being a Mormon. However, I use the bible to help with my everyday life, although I'll admit not as often as I should. I know my life would be improved if I found the time to read the bible more frequently than I do. I experience a feeling of comfort when I read John 3:16 and felt inspired to write to you about it. I know that when I leave my earthly body that I will join my family in heaven and that one day, I will be reunited with my physical body. I also know that my family will be there with me during that great occasion and armed with this information, I have very little fear regarding my own death. I am a mother and I do fear losing my children, even though I know that I'll be with them again. This scripture in John should inspire all who read it to feel that our Heavenly Father loves us so much that he sent his child to earth knowing the persecution he would face at the time of his death. My hope is that those who read this will know that God loves them and he is there when we need him. I have turned to him many times and have felt blessed.
