Christianity may call this higher being God and other religions may use different names to represent the totality of knowledge, but it all amounts to the same thing. The definition of trusting with your heart means putting your faith in the unknowable. By giving over this control to God or the stream of consciousness or whatever you choose to label it, you accept your own lack of knowledge and thus prepare your mind to open up and become ready to truly learn. Philippians 4:13 Bible Verse Commentary
This verse serves to remind people that they are not strong creatures, at least not by themselves. While Christianity may emphasize reliance upon God for strength, it remains true that most people can not do everything that they wish they could without calling upon the aid of others. God, or the deity in general, is the ultimate source of strength and easily tapped by anyone who has the faith to rely upon him.
